The Mobile Discovery firm, Shazam has finally crossed the biggest milestone with the immense one being that its users have successfully tagged 5 billion sound tags including songs, ads and TV shows using its app. With the service growing tremendously, the Shazam achieved its five billionth tag with the song: “Blow me One Last Kiss”.
All the success is contributed to Shazam recently expanded range of services it tenders by tying up with TV events and famous brands that allows it users to enjoy a new yet pleasurable experience.
According to the statement furnished by the CEO of Shazam, Andrew Fischer “Shazam is attending to its growth and success due to its customer’s engagement that is incomparable with a round about of 2 million users downloading the application every week and using it ten million times in a single week”.
While Shazam is concentrating for the revising of its tagging speed so that it can offer good speed of tagging songs to its users, the free unlimited tagging of songs has already been launched for the users of Android Phone like Samsung Galaxy S2 and iPhone users like Apple iPhone 4s.
It is a big achievement for Shazam who has experienced its first billionth tags after 10 years and has experienced its second billion in 10 months and finally it has achieved five billion tags in just a year. In addition, Shazam is still working on various aspects of its app to make it more user friendly for its users.
