The latest version of Google’s Android has brought a wave of update in the market. Samsung is also considering a number of devices which it can upgrade. The high end devices from the Korean company has already received the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update and are all set for the 4.3 KitKat version. Samsung announced an update for its top end Smartphones, a while back and now a list of mid range devices have been leaked showing the model numbers that can receive the 4.4 KitKat update in near future.
The image containing the names of the devices was tipped to the SamMobile from an anonymous person, which seems to be an insider of the Korean organization.A few days back we heard the news that the Android 4.4 KitKat version has been reprogrammed so that it can save a lot of RAM and can support a low end device with even 512 RAM. So, the news that Samsung will launch the latest update for its mid range and low range devices should not be surprising.
SamMobile also revealed the dates of update roll out for the flagship models of Samsung including Galaxy S4, S3, Galaxy Note 3 and Note II. The update for Galaxy S3 and Note II was speculated to come after the updates for other aforementioned devices.
The list contains Galaxy S4 Mini, Ace 3, S3 Mini, Ace 2, S Advance, Galaxy Core and Fame with the title ‘KRT16 UPDATE UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR MID RANGE DEVICES’ and a Samsung logo on the top right.
Google has done its job by cutting the extra fat of the KitKat version to fit in 512 MB RAM and now Samsung developers will need to deal with the TouchWiz user interface so that update roll out for low range devices is not hindered.
