As promised, Sony is here with an early Christmas gift for its users. Sony Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1, most popular Sony Smartphones will now be seen running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. A new update from Android 4.2, has brought a lot new for the Xperia owners including new camera features and new software supports.
Other top end devices of the Japanese Smartphone manufacturers will join Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra very soon. Sony has also mentioned that the update roll may take some time to reach to all the carriers and regions.
Sony’s exclusive inbuilt applications like My Xperia, Track ID, Smart Connect, Messaging and Sony Walkman have been improved after the update. Sony Xperia Z Ultra now supports Smart Connect which was missing from it before the update. Sony mentioned that they are planning to add more features to their devices with future updates.
The new software has introduced a new feature called Restricted Profiles. This feature allows user to control the access to his/her device. For example, you can hide all the applications on your Google Play, other than the one that you use. So that no one gets access to the purchase options, hence keeping your device safe for kids or other family members.
Now you can also stream in a full HD 1080p video and now both the devices support Bluetooth 4.0 along with OpenGL 3.0. Now texting as well as switching profile will also be faster with the new update.
